Free Give Away Drawing!

One of the things we would like to start doing monthly for you readers, is a free give away! This month, the give away is for longarmer's! Leanna Spanner at Anilee.net is offering a free Longarmer's Binding Tool (with the winner's choice of either the tool for either the 1/2" hopping foot size, or 9/16" inch, so know your foot size!)

An earlier post here at The Fiber Nation focused on this new tool: Cool New Tool For Longarmers where we shared info about this tool and how it's aiding longarmers in putting bindings on quilts while they are still on the frame!

So, what do you have to do to be considered for this prize? It's simple, just leave a comment here on this post, "Free Give Away Drawing!" and the winner will be randomly chosen on July 9th - that's next Friday! You have from now until 7:00 a.m. on Friday morning to leave a comment on this posting to be in the running! So please, email/call/message any of your longarm friends about this and let them know to leave a comment for a chance to win this cool new tool!

The lucky winner will receive a brand new, still protective wrapped Longarmer's Binding Tool courtesy of Leanna Spanner at Anilee Creations! Be sure and check out the video to the upper right here to see how the tool is used! I'd like to point out that I also use mine for stitch in the ditch, because it's a bit shorter than most of the SITD tools out there. That makes it easier to control, and my lines are SO much straighter because of it!

The rundown again:

1. Leave a comment on THIS post to be in the running. (**If you post as "anonymous" you will not be put into the drawing.)
2. The deadline is July 9th at 7:00 a.m. Friday morning.
3. Know your hopping foot size.
4. Share this posting with your friends/longarmer's/etc!
5. Good luck!

***Leaving more than one comment here will not increase your chances of winning, each name will only be counted once, and "anonymous" posts do not count in the drawing.***

  5. Just learning on the longarm...you would not believe the mistakes made in the learning curve...some almost comical. The last one, I don't know how the backing was NOT in the sandwich,it was loaded on the frame, but sewed the top to the batting TO the leader. Took all day to UN-seam it.

  14. While I'm impressed that it works for binding on a longarm, I'm more impressed that it can be used for stitch-in-the-ditch and echo quilting. I'd love to try it for both.

  16. What a great tool! I have had several customers ask me if I can bind their quilts while longarming them and up till now the answer was always "no". Won't all of them be happy if I win. Looks like fun.

  20. I'm a gadget junky. I just love tools that make my life easier. I have what is known as the "duh" factor when I see something for the first time and I know it's going to work. The "duh" part comes in when I slap my forehead and say "duh, I should have thought of that!"
